Taylor and Nicholas were married at the Rogal Chapel at Robert Morris University with photos preceding at Robin Hill Park in Moon Township after getting ready at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport in the Presidential Suite and then the reception was to follow at the Fez in Aliquippa in the Balconnade Room. Whew, that’s a mouthful! Google tells me that ALL that info should be in the first paragraph for SEO purposes. But if you’re still reading – let’s talk about the REAL details of the wedding day.
Taylor’s dress shimmered like glitter. It had a vintage look with slightly puffed sleeves – the day was 60 degrees, so long sleeves weren’t really needed! And later, Taylor and her bridesmaid fearlessly CUT those long sleeves into little short sleeves at the reception and it was adorable.
Taylor and Nicholas have been dating for about a year and a half. They got engaged last spring at Raccoon Creek State Park while fishing. One thing I learned about Taylor is how strong her relationship was with her grandfather – who passed about a year before her wedding. Taylor’s dad brought us all to tears with his speech at her reception too – and Taylor’s reception took place in the very room her parents had their reception decades ago (obviously with some remodeling!) We made sure to recreate a photo pointing at the sign like Taylor’s parents had at their wedding.
Nicholas honored Taylor’s grandfather by wearing his watch for the wedding (and Taylor also gifted him a watch of his own). These two met in high school but reconnected recently. Their wedding had a classic and classy aesthetic with dark green, gold, and black as the color scheme.
