We photograph proposals, engagements, weddings, and family sessions – but single guys and ladies need photos too! You might need some personal branding photos beyond corporate style headshots for your website and social media. Maybe you’re an influencer or you own a business – photos of the business owner typically get the highest engagement on social media platforms! Or perhaps you are active on dating apps – you know photos are one of the most important elements of your profile on those apps.
My personal philosophy on dating profile photos is this:

You want a variety of well lit photos and you want to look like YOU!

You want to mix in professional photos and your own images. You DO want to fill up all the available photo spots on the app – if there are 9 possible spots, fill them all in! (1-2 in a 10+ image carousel can be a pet, a home project you’ve done, a beautiful sight you’ve seen, a representation of a hobby like a shot of your bike along the river)

You don’t want a profile filled with only selfies.

You want to mix in photos with your hobbies, your pets, your friends, and then solo shots including smiling and showing your physique as well as your face.

Think about the message photos are sending – tailgating, hunting, fishing, being photographed with someone of the opposite sex, photos in a bar – all of these send a message and it’s not necessarily negative or positive – just remember that people will make decisions based on the photo!

You want the photos to be current, flattering, and show your personality!
As a professional photographer, I strive to make you look your best! We’re happy to offer suggestions on outfits, locations, and styling! Our sessions are typically one hour and take place in our studio in Point Breeze and the surrounding area, although on-location is also available. From this session, you will receive an online gallery and digital download with reprint release of at least ten to fifteen finished images – you can book and pay online in just a few clicks. Most clients spend $400+tax on their personal branding session with us.

Internet dating apps include Hinge, Bumble, Grindr, Tinder, eHarmony, Match, Coffee Meets Bagel, OKCupid, Plenty of Fish or JDate (did I miss any?). As a wedding photographer, I get to learn where my couples have met – but I can’t tell you for certain which app is the most successful when it comes to creating marriages!
